A new Speaker Series starting in Spring 2019 will help initiate and sustain conversations at WashU around the implementation of evidence-based pedagogies.

Based on the success of our previous “Innovations in Undergraduate Education Speaker Series,” we are happy to announce that a new speaker series will begin this spring and continue for two years. This new CIRCLE Teaching Academy Speaker Series, part of our CIRCLE Teaching Academy, will focus on the use of evidence-based teaching strategies and feature prominent scientists within the learning sciences giving keynote lectures about findings and recommendations from their research. Additionally, speakers will be available to meet with interested STEM faculty during their visit to provide personalized strategies and feedback.

Due to precautions related to COVID-19, our next speaker, Dr. Scott Lewis from University of South Florida, will postpone his talk until further notice. More information will be provided as it becomes available. If you are interested in attending, please contact Ali York at amyork@wustl.edu.

Funding provided by the Association of American Universities (AAU) and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI).
