Learning communities in cognitive science, and in biology, physics, chemistry, and engineering education are all doing wonderful work aimed at improving educational practices.
However, these researchers tend to work in relative isolation from each other. Part of the mission of CIRCLE is to provide a bridge across these communities. Towards this aim, CIRCLE hosts conferences that provide the rare opportunity for members of these different communities to meet, learn from one another, and establish cross-community connections, which we believe are crucial in accelerating progress in educational research and practice.
